Paris Roubaix on the Big Screen

The Spring Classics are Here. Who’s ready to get muddy?

Actually, you’ll be relaxing in the comfort of the plush, reclining seats of the Penn Cinema theater while you watch the pros duke it out for spring’s most coveted title.

Our team, 717Cycling, has partnered with local community sponsor, Penn Cinema, to bring the 2019 Paris Roubaix professional bike race to the big screen. This, always exciting, always action-packed event will be shown delayed on race day, April 14th, from 5-7pm. Last year was the first year for this event and 717Cycling raised over $1,100 from donations and raffle prizes to support our 717juniors development clinics. The money raised went on to help purchase and build seven juniors bikes that were free for new riders to use at our fall juniors clinics, which take place on Fridays, mid-summer through October at Lititz Bikeworks’ very own onsite cyclocross course. The Paris-Roubaix event proceeds also funded small monetary race scholarships for seven juniors during the 2018 cyclocross season. These scholarships helped offset their race fees and paid for their annual riding license. In 2019 are hoping to raise more funds to expand and build the demo fleet, as well as our ride scholarship program.
